You Don't Even Need A Hackamore
Everything you'll learn in this training can be done in a rope halter.
So if you don't have a hackamore, or you're not ready for the financial commitment of a genuine buckaroo hackamore, I've got you covered.
You can start off in a rope halter, and then if you ever decide to buy a hackamore, everything your horse has learned will easily transition over.
Or you can continue riding in the halter.
What you're actually getting out of this training is the ability to create an extremely responsive horse without the use of a bit.
Even if your horse is 10 or 20 years old and has always been ridden in a bit, it’s never too late to go bitless.

Who Is Carson James?
My background is in Vaquero Horsemanship, and for the majority of my career, I worked on cattle ranches where I rode horses all day, every day. My knowledge comes from real life experience using traditional Buckaroo horsemanship to train horses and fix problems. I'm now taking this knowledge and experience and sharing it with horse owners online and in person at my Horsemanship Fundamentals clinics.

Do I need a hackamore?
Actually no. If you're not quite ready to make the financial commitment for a genuine hackamore, everything in this training can be accomplished in a rope halter. What your horse learns will easily transfer over once you transition to a hackamore.
